[Riza is walking down the street across from the Devil's Nest, ignoring the fact that it's pouring rain and drenching her hair and clothes. She stares around her with a flat expression suggesting absolute boredom.

There is no umbrella in sight, and she is appearing to not be in any sort of hurry. She is merely taking a walk in the rain hoping to kill some time.]

[Winry notices Riza through one of the windows in the Devil's Nest. She quickly grabs the umbrella Al had given her and rushes outside. The mechanic approaches Riza, and offers shelter from the rain.]

You're soaked!

[Notices her from inside where he's sweeping up floor-bits with a dustpan and hand-broom (somehow he'd ended up doing Ed's chores while the older boy had disappeared). Goes to the door and calls out to her.]

Miss Lieutenant! Are you lost? Do you want to come inside? You might catch a cold!

[ED WAS TOTALLY OFF DOING SOMETHING EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Actually OLD!Roy had probably hung him up in the closet on a hook again. LIKE A BASTARD.]

[Riza glances slowly up as Winry comes closer. She looks at the umbrella the girl is holding, and after a moment, shakes her head.]

I'll be all right.. Miss Winry Rockbell, isn't it? [She smiles slightly and continues.] Although, if you know of a place to stay, I hope you'll tell me.

[She looks up as she hears someone calling and realizes it's Roy. Waving at him, she calls back.]

I'm not lost, only looking for a place to stay.

[Tilts his head a little and considers.]

Greed lets people stay upstairs if they work at the bar.

[What a bastard. You'll just have to think of something more humiliating to do to him.]

[She stops to think about this.]

Who else is living there?

Besides Greed, Ed and Winry and me. There's other people who work here, but they live other places, I think.

I see.. Well, if it's all right with you and the others, I would like to move in.

It's all right with me. You just have to talk to Greed or something.

Where can I find him?

Mmm... I'm not sure. I don't think he's here right now...

[It sure has been raining a lot lately. Shit is bananas. It is wet out here and I do not like it. Is probably cleaning something outside because Greed threatened to dock his pay if he didn't.]

Oh, hi Lieutenant.

[She notices Ed outside cleaning something and walks a few steps closer.]

Cleaning, Fullmetal? Is that a good idea, when it's raining like this?

NO. It isn't. And I told Greed that but he's a douchebag and wouldn't listen to me. He's just tired of me transmuting things around the bar into badass statues of Chuck Norris fighting bears. I don't even know who Chuck Norris IS.

.... [She stops to think for a minute or two.]

I normally wouldn't ask, but would you like help with that?

Come into the bar. We can talk inside where it's not so... wet.

What, no, it's no big deal, plus you could get sick if you stay out in the rain too long, so don't worry about it.

Be realistic, Edward. You're just as likely to get sick as I am, unless you've somehow developed an immunity to sickness that I wasn't aware of.

[She also sighs.]

[After a pause..]

How are you?

I'm almost done anyway.

I'm doing alright, I guess.
