Oh, my.
My train seems to have vanished out from under me. I wasn't even en route to Central, how on Earth did I end up here? How curious...

[Confused and somewhat lost manga canon Hohenheim. In b4 Ed shitstorm.]

[Winry stood outside. It was raining again, and she held a poster advertising the Devil's Nest Kareoke Bar. The girl looked kind of pathetic, and very wet. However she didn't walk inside. Winry was determined to do her job, even if that meant catching pneumonia.

Yeah, she didn't have an umbella. Good thing she wasn't wearing a white top.]

*Its raining, and we all know a certain alchemist who rather detests rain, so of course he grumbles about it all the way from his apartment to the bar.
Jacket pulled over his head, he runs the whole way, trying not to get soaked but failing miserably.

Upon arriving at The Devil's Nest, he finds it emptier than usual, not even Winry or Ed around at the moment, at least as far as he can see and hear.
Hanging up his sopping wet jacket, he goes behind the counter, grabbing a towel to dry off his hair.*

There should be a law against raining in fake cities...

This... isn't Briggs. [And here, have a canon Edward from about after Kimbley stabbed him at Briggs; the two guys went off to grab rations and stuff, but Ed didn't want to just hang around and wait for them. He's bleeding profusely, but conscious, and wincing with every step he takes.]

First aid, anyone?

Ed!  Al!  What do you boys want for-

[door opens revealing Trisha Elric!  She looks slightly confused as she closes the door and looks around her]

-dinner?

This...isn't the apartment...or anywhere else in the Safezone that I know of...

...boys?  Where are you?

[OOC:  Here, have a Trisha pulled from the community [community profile] adstringendum!  She's canonly from when Ed and Al are five and four, about a year or so after Hohenheim left!  I think being pulled from an RP makes her an AU Trisha (either way I can always change it~)]

This place again? I really have to figure out how to get the gate to stop taking me to these random places. It's gone past weird and just gotten annoying.

[This Edward has gotten somewhat sick of spending his entire day in the library. Even though it is his safe-place, it is failing to yield him any major revelations onto why reality is so very very broken. He goes on a stroll looking for familiar face. Preferably ones attached to familiar people...]

[Ed's sitting up on the roof of the Devil's Nest, debating whether or not he should transmute a statue of the Fuhrer humping a goat onto it.]

...But I did that last week...maybe one of Greed wearing a tutu..? Or a gorilla with Winry's head.
[identity profile] minionsget.livejournal.com
[We have a Greed. He is standing proudly behind his counter.]

ALL RIGHT. SO WE'RE LACKING IN THE FUNDS THIS MONTH.

This means we've got to kick ass with sales or we're fucked up the creak without a boat.

GET TO IT.

[Edward stepped out of the bookstore, looking over the cover of his newest purchase with a small smirk. This would work, the kids need something fun to enjoy, and he was running out of things that were light enough for the age group that he read to, without pulling out the same few selections over and over again. He turned down the street, slipping the book into an over-sized pocket and finally glancing up, only to stop short abruptly upon realizing that...he didn't recognize anything around him.]

What the hell... is this?
[identity profile] mafia-ed.livejournal.com
[In the mornings, Ed worked a half day reshelving books and sorting the card catalog. Working part time provided enough for him to live and eat while still giving him enough time to attempt reeducating himself in whatever insane natural laws governed this strange place. What helped the most, of course, was working in the place he'd be spending all of his time anyway. Even though this wasn't the quite the same as the University's library, it was still comforting to be surrounded by the familiar ambiance. Outside of this building was a world of madness, filled with crazy magic-wielding crazies, but inside things made sense. He could read the card catalog as easily as his own name and navigate the shelves as though they were his home.

Currently he was going through the returns and marking them down in the ledger and dating their check-out cards. It was a pretty menial task, but Ed didn't have special skills or crazy powers to make quick money like some of the people around here, so he was happy enough to do bookkeeping.

[Winry is sitting under a tree, working on a new design of foot and singing softly to herself]

Mmm-m-mm-mmm...
Hmmm mmm mmm hmm hmm mmmmmm...

[[ooc// come bother her~!]]
[identity profile] mafia-ed.livejournal.com
[Edward is leaving the library, carrying four books to keep him busy for the night until he can go back tomorrow. The library isn't closing yet, but he doesn't want to walk back to his apartment after dark because the people get slightly scarier then. He's heard talk about vampires even, and in a world as crazy as this one, he wouldn't be very surprised. He's been in the library every day that it's open for about a month as he decided that physics in this world did not make sense and therefor he had to relearn everything from scratch. He'd picked a shelf and started reading his way down it.]

[Currently he's walking through the street at a pretty quick and nervous pace, glancing around as though he's concerned that somebody's going to jump out of a corner and shoot him.]
[identity profile] omgwtfwrench.livejournal.com
Back here, again, huh?

Wish they would decide whether they want to keep me or boot me.

[ Sigh ]

And just when the ship was getting ready to go off on another mission.

((ooc: hey. remember that au skypirate!winry from months ago? yea she's back))
[identity profile] clingtothepast.livejournal.com
[Roaming a bit aimlessly through the city. Ed really had no real destination in mind since the city didn’t seem to want him to find the exit anyway. But sitting around and doing nothing wasn’t going to do anything, so he might as well wonder about. Who knew, maybe he would get lucky and just stumble upon...besides that he wanted to find his own Al]

Alright lets see.... I’ve run into two Winrys, One older me, two Als…though I’m not to sure a fur ball really counts..

[mutters under his breath, giving a nervous laugh as he counts off the people on his fingers]

Um..who else... Edward said that their was a girl me running around but I don’t think that counts... One Wrath...Russel and there’s Elicia and...I think that’s it. Ugh, Too many people...too many doubles, that's for sure.

Ugh, this is getting confusing.

[Grumbles lightly, rubbing the back of his neck a bit irritated.]
[identity profile] kingofthepeople.livejournal.com
[We have a Ling. This Ling is dressed a bit more fashionably, he's got a high tech looking watch on his wrist and a few papers in his hand. He stops, circles around, and balks]

...What?

...

Amestris? Did I get sent back...?

[Pauses scratching his head for a moment.]

This kills all the previous theories, I think

[Glances down at his watch and starts to tinker with it]

[ooc: Hi hi! Ling from [community profile] capeandcowl

[Winry walked down a snow covered street, holding a newspaper in her hand. She was trying to find an address that went with an ad in the paper. Alas, she was desperately lost. The mechanic stuck the pink tip of her tongue out the side of her mouth and furrowed her eyebrows, trying to figure out where she went wrong.]

Why is it so hard to find anything in this place?
[identity profile] clingtothepast.livejournal.com
I give.

[A long sighhhhhhh and you'll find the young alchemist laying down in the middle of the sidewalk, tired from walking around looking for an exit from Fake Central.]

I officially hate this place more than I've ever hated a single location in my entire life.

There has to be some kind of trick to it. Finding it out is the only problem....
[identity profile] mafia-ed.livejournal.com
[Ed shivered. His hands were shoved down in his pockets and his overcoat was buttoned all the way up. It would probably be healthier to go inside, but the slightly irrational idea that he needed to wander the streets on the off chance that he might find one of his Rockbells kept him walking. Of course, the chances that he would run into one of the Rockbells from his world was just the same as the chances of running into the Envy from his world... But he preferred not to think about that.]

[It still puzzled him that people here seemed so insistent that Al was supposed to be his brother. The whole concept was just... weird. Sure, Al and he pretended to be brothers at the University, but the idea of that being real was unsettling. Of course, he imagined that he would much rather have Al for a brother than Envy... But then, being related to the twins would put a serious damper on their value as eye-candy.]

*sigh* I want to go home...

[Aside from the raising of uncomfortable questions and mind-blowing revelations to the concepts of multiple-realities that Edward had never thought he would have to deal with on a practical level, being alone for the first time in months was making him feel extremely vulnerable.]
