Oh man, I actually know this BADASS half Ishbalian dude back home. I think his name was Miles or something. TOTAL badass.

He's actually in the military, right. Which is a bit odd given his background, but whatever. He was just awesome and helped me out a lot. Lots of secret plots and crap to save the country form the douche fuhrer and whatnot.

The military is corrupt because the guys running it are corrupt. Pretty much all of the rest of the military is pissed about it. I don't follow politics all that well, but things are getting kinda ugly back home.

I don't know about where you're from, but everything where I'M from is totally FUBAR.

Pretty much the same, yeah. I don't know a lot about how the military's run, but I know they give promotions to soldiers who shoot their own people who weren't doing anything wrong.

ACTUALLY, before I came here, I was kinda on the run FROM the military, so.

But mostly I teamed up with this homunculus guy that was all rebelling against the other homunculi, since it was, at the time, the lesser of two evils so to speak.
