When she gets older I should teach her to defend herself, but... She shouldn't have to, you know?

She just turned twelve about a week before we came here... that was a couple months ago.

Twelve? Maybe you could teach her basic gun safety then. Just so she knows enough about the weapon itself- just in case.

Good point. I wouldn't want her to go picking one up and hurting herself because she didn't know how it worked.

Exactly. I'm pretty sure they offer a basic safety course here.

My dad started to teach me about guns before I could walk, but the first time I fired one I was seven. I just sort of stuck with it after that.

So like me and Flora with medicine, then. Our parents practically raised us in the pharmacy.

I suppose so.
