*This Winry slips on some working clothes and runs around her workshop. She had talked about opening it to the public for a while now, but actually hadn't gotten around to it. However, today she decided to stop putting it off and just open it for business.

Everything had to be perfect. She put a sign in the window advertising automail fittings and repairs, and another one on the door saying "We're Open."

FInally, when she was satisfied, she put her hands on her hips and sighed. *

I guess this is it. Time to get to work.

How long d'you think till you get customers?

Hopefully not long. I need to make money to pay off what I borrowed to buy this place.

If I see anyone who needs help with automail I'll direct 'em here. You shouldn't have much trouble with the hundred or so Eds who are here, though.

Thanks, and you're right. I'll probably have plenty of customers.

I just hope I don't get over-worked. My Ed will probably be upset if I start pulling all-nighters again.

[She opens the door, looking around a little bit.]

H-hello?

*Turns around to see the Al who just walked in*

May I help you?

I need some automail. My arm...it's been shattered.

Okay then, let's have you looked at. Go sit down while I get my tools. I'll also need you to take off your shirt so I can see the damage.

*She motions to a bench made specifically for fitting and attaching automail, and then walks to the other side of the room to pick up her tool box.*

[She nods, taking off the coat and then her shirt after a bit of trouble, kind of hard to do things one armed.]

*Winry makes her way to the bench after she picks up her tool box. She starts tinkering around in the port on Al's shoulder.*

So, how did you end up busting your arm?

I was trying to save my brother. Scar managed to shatter my arm and then I was brought here.

Ah. I've heard that one before, though it came from someone I know.

Well, your port is pretty much intact, and I already have some pre-made parts, so this shouldn't take too long.

Oh? [She watches Winry]

My name is Alice Elric.

"Alice" Elric? Well, I've never heard that one before.

I have two friends who are Elrics, but they're both male.

My older brother Edward calls me Al most of the time.

Oh, I see now. Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Alice.

*Winry continues to assemble the automail for Al as she talks, so don't mind her if she misses half the conversation.*

[She nods]

It's nice meeting you as well. You look like someone I know from home.

Aha, I get that a lot.
Although, a I hear some versions of me aren't so pleasant to be around.

*She shrugs and starts to make some finishing adjustments before she's ready to connect Al's new arm.*

I wouldn't say that.

[She smiles a little bit. She likes the Winry back home]

*Winry shrugs again*
I guess it just depends on where you come from.

*She gathers her things and preps this Al to have the automail connected*

You're aware of the pain you'll have to endure once I connect this, right?

Yes. I know. I've dealt with it before.
