*She wasn't sure how long she had waited for Al. An hour? Maybe more? She'd even grabbed a new dress out of necessity (pale blue sleeveless dress, with a set of matching sandals), and had tried to style her hair a small bit...but the styling failed in front of the mirror and she ended up brushing it neatly and leaving it at that, simply curling the ends of her hair slightly in her haste and frustration.

I can't imagine not doing this. In Japan and Germany both, I'd always make time to sit on my roof and stare at the stars...

Ja. I also used to look through my telescopes every night--sometimes, I'd follow a particular star and then write down the degree of movement in the night sky from night to night.

We-we did some of that too... in class... as-as well as a fair amount of-of reading the stars....

Ohhh...you mean like Astrology?

Astrology is very ancient...I studied it for a short time when I was younger...though I don't really believe in it, it's an interesting thing to think about.

W-well, I c-can't say that for sure, because I don't know myself...but there's a high probability that it doesn't work.

What I'm more interested in is practical astronomy, anyway...

Um...l-like planetary formations, mathematics describing the beginning and ending of galaxies and planets...

I've also studied black hole theory, and such like that...

It's all fascinating.

How far did you go in material in your school? Only the bare essentail astronomy? Or did you get into Astrometry and Physics as well?

Well... a-a lot of it is star charts, especially in the early years.....

You don't research the mathematical portion...Not many schools do. That's usually University level material.

Well, in fourth and fifth years we started using a bit of trigenometry....

Trigonometry is fascinating, though I love Calculus, myself.

I hear Trigonometry isn't even a required course in American Colleges...I'd wanted to go to an American University for a time--MIT was my ideal--so I'd studied the school system...
