[This is Alphonse, missing his brother, his ~~sort-of~~ girlfriend, Teacher and the rest of his friends and family back in the hotel in the world he was in before this one.

In order to distract himself, he's taken to wandering the streets of Fake Central. And hey, if he happens to find a cute kitten (or two... or three or... well, you get the idea) while doing so, all the better.

[looks a little sad at that for a brief moment, before he's smiling again]

I don't think anyone from my world is here. But that's okay, because then I know they're back home safe.

That makes sense. [Pause] I'm still glad my friends are here, but I hope we get to go home soon. And you, also.

[laughs]

I'll end up going back to my worried brother and Winry with a wrench.

[Smiles fondly]

Yeah, I hope so... for both of us. So, what have you been doing since you arrived here?

[Laughs a bit, then it trails off.]

Um-- not much. I haven't, um, been here very long. [Quickly,] What about you?

Mmmm.... [pauses to think, counting days in his head] A little more then a month, I think. I've been wandering, mostly. I found a cute kitten my first day here, but I haven't seen it since.

[Smiles. Of course Al would find a kitten.] What did it look like?

[He has kitty-dar. No joke.]

It was a little tabby.

[pauses]

Acted almost like he could understand me, but maybe it was just confused as to why some random person was babbling to it.

...ah, really? [...ohhh Alphonse] I, um, I haven't seen any kittens around, but I wonder if I'll meet that one...

Well, I haven't seen it since, so maybe it was a one time deal. I'd like to see it again, just so I know it's all right and being taken care of though.

[Smiles at Fletcher]

If you do, you'll let me know, right? Just so I know it's okay?

[Nods, and smiles back.] Sure. I'll definitely do that.
