...God, it's been way too long since I've been here.

[It was almost an impossible feeling, being stuck in a strange world for so long. Days turned to weeks, weeks to months, and months to years, all while everything around her kept changing and changing, except for those steadfast constants.

'Fake Central' stopped being called that long ago for her--this *WAS* Central. This was her home, the place where she'd been happiest, where she'd decided that everything was worth it.

Alfons stepped out of her house and onto the street for her morning walk, fingering her growing hair. No matter what she did to it, the old pixie cut always felt right. It was growing long again--to her shoulders and fanning out--she'd probably have to ask someone to chop it for her. Still...

It was almost unfathomable that she would be able to leave this place, or be able to part from those who had been close to her for so long. Perhaps being stuck in an extraordinary situation made you numb to the thought of going home. She knew Al wanted to go back, but...

What if she couldn't...?

With a sigh she kept forward, moving towards a nearby shop and leaned against the wall, looking up in thought.]

Al comes up behind Alfons for a hug, buring his head between his girlfriend's shoulders.

"Something on your mind?" he asks, voice soft, worried.

"I can't believe a thing like that," Al responds, nuzzling her a little closer. "Tell me what you're thinking about... please?"

"I hope you get to see it someday," Alphonse murmurs, "It's not perfect, but I think you'd like it. We could live together -- just you, brother, and me. In a small house near a library and a hospital."

Al frowns. Edward was never the best with strangers, but he could be good enough, nice enough if he needed to be. And overprotective once he claimed something as his own. And yet that would be troublesome for Alfons, because nothing has ever been closer to Ed's heart than Alphonse himself.

Still, if he thought about it enough, it seemed impossible that they would hate each other.

"I think you'd to just fine," he decides, "once he got to know you a little. He wouldn't hurt anything that's mine, at least... if you promised not to take me away from him forever again -- not that this time was your fault to begin with!"

"I know you're not," Alphonse responds, "If anything, I'm selfish. I want both of my favourite people to live with me... and to be safe and happy with me and each other."

He sighs, and peeks over so he can see her reflection. "I'm sorry if my want is making things difficult for you. I just.... you deserve better than what you had and.... I don't want to leave you ever, really."

"Would you be happy, in another world?" Al asks. It's not a new question, but it's something that has always been a worry of Al's nonetheless.

Alfons came from such a broken home, and went from one place to another that, it seemed, she didn't belong. As a muggle, or at least untrained muggle-born among wizards, the transition wouldn't be easy. Still, he thinks, and hopes, it would be better, far better than going home. He would make sure of it. Somehow.
