*he's sitting outside trying to read a book wizard!Roy gave him. Next to him is a stack of more books. He's having a difficult time because he's still not that good at reading English yet but the pictures in the book are enough to turn his face red.

What exactly is he trying to accomplish by reading these?

To understand how humans mate better.

That's right folks; Wizard!Roy gave him graphic human biology texts and PORN. And he is as red as a tomato as result and has no idea this is not something to be reading in public*

*As a slightly-flustered Roy pauses for breath, he can't help but smile. It feels so... fitting; this new closeness with the strange, mute boy. For the first time, he feels confident in his decision to withdraw his vow to find, and to marry, his rescuer- is it not better to concentrate himself upon the warm, tender and deeply real boy before him than on some distant possibility; a semiconscious whisper present only in his memory?

Although if it weren't for the voice... Roy could almost hold his own suspicions as to 'Maes'' identity.*
