[Having been trapped in this city for a few weeks completely ignoring that the dressing room has been completely dead for nearly a year, wizard!Fletcher has gotten an idea on how to escape. He's gone out into a public square, drawn his wand, and is pointing it at random small-ish objects.]

[Fletcher is in the middle of lifting up a trash can when he hears Ed. He sets it down and turns to him.]

Huh? I'm, um, just... using magic. [But how does this guy know his name?]

[okay so it is working, Ed manages not to swallow his tongue at the sight before him - probably because it's still between his teeth.]

Now I've really seen everything. [He mutters, staring at the trash can as if Fletcher had been completely forgotten about.

After a moment he looks back at Fletcher, trying to sound casual.] That all you can do?

How someone with alien morphing technology can be freaked out by a kid using 'magic' is beyond even him, so yeah - playing it cool.]
